The MFP-2KWLS2 from Kantech is a two-button, long-range wireless transmitter designed for secure access control applications such as gates, parking entrances, and perimeter doors.
It operates as a handheld key-fob device that sends encrypted wireless signals to a compatible receiver in the Ranger® or ioSmart system. Each of its two programmable buttons can be assigned to different access functions, such as opening a gate, triggering a relay, or activating an auxiliary system.
The transmitter communicates over long-range wireless (typically up to ~200 ft depending on conditions) and is designed for reliable outdoor use. It includes LED feedback to indicate successful transmissions and battery status, and it is powered by a replaceable lithium coin-cell battery.
When a button is pressed, the signal is received by a device like the KT-WLS-WIE receiver, which then converts the wireless command into Wiegand output for an access control panel to process.
