The XRN-6420DB4 is a high-end 8K enterprise network video recorder (NVR) designed for large-scale, mission-critical surveillance deployments. It supports up to 64 IP camera channels and is built on an Intel-based platform to deliver strong performance, reliability, and advanced recording capabilities.

It supports H.265, H.264, and MJPEG compression formats and is compatible with SUNAPI and ONVIF protocols, allowing broad integration with Wisenet and third-party IP cameras. The system provides up to 520 Mbps of recording bandwidth and up to 200 Mbps of playback performance, enabling smooth handling of large numbers of high-resolution video streams.

A key upgrade over lower models is its expanded storage capacity, featuring 16 SATA HDD bays (up to 10TB per drive). It supports RAID 5 and RAID 6 configurations (with required drive counts), along with iSCSI external storage expansion. The system also supports hot-swappable HDDs in RAID mode for easier maintenance without downtime.

For reliability and resilience, the XRN-6420DB4 includes ARB (Automatic Recovery Backup) and N+1 failover support, ensuring continuous recording in case of system or network failures. It also features a redundant power supply for added hardware reliability in critical environments.

The recorder supports dual HDMI outputs for flexible multi-monitor display setups and can handle up to 32MP camera resolution for both live viewing and recording. It also includes fisheye dewarping (local or CMS-based), AI search capabilities when used with Wisenet AI cameras, alarm I/O, two-way audio, and P2P QR code setup for simplified remote access.
